WEEKLY round up of hearings at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.

April 2024:

MARTIN ROONEY, 21, of Pinstone Way, Gerrards Cross, convicted of using a handheld device as a vehicle driver on the M40 near High Wycombe on July 19, 2023. Fined £220. Also ordered to pay £90 court costs and £88 victim surcharge. Six points added to driving licence.

CHANDNI HANIF, 26, of Chequers Court, Aylesbury, convicted of using a vehicle without the correct insurance in Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, on August 15, 2023. Fined £120 and ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for six months.

OLIVER GODDARD, 29, of Crest Road, High Wycombe, convicted of possession of class B drug cannabis in High Wycombe on February 11, 2024. Also convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis as a vehicle driver required by police on February 11, 2024. Convicted of around £3,000 criminal damage on the same date in High Wycombe. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and must undertake 150 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £1,500 compensation. Disqualified from driving for 29 months.

ANCA NEAGOE, 39, of no fixed abode, convicted of possession of a Stanley knife in Hughenden Road, High Wycombe, on February 28, 2024. Given a community order to comply with supervision requirements. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £114 victim surcharge.

MIHAI CHRISTESCU, 22, of no fixed abode, convicted of stealing £197.50 worth of make up and beauty products from Marks and Spencer in Eden Place, High Wycombe, on March 14, 2024. Fined £150 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £60 victim surcharge.

MATEUSZ SLIWINSKI, 32, of Mitcham Walk, Aylesbury, convicted of harassment without violence in Aylesbury on April 17, 2024. Fined £80 and made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £32 victim surcharge.

ANDREI FAUR, 24, of Desborough Road, High Wycombe, convicted of drink-driving in Victoria Street, High Wycombe on Valentine’s Day (February 14) 2024. Found to have 78mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Also convicted of driving not in accordance with a licence on the same date and location. Fined £500. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £200 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 21 months.

DANIEL EVANS, 23, of Misbourne Close, Aylesbury, convicted of assault a person occasioning them actual bodily harm in Aylesbury on September 2, 2023. Sentenced to 24 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months due to severity of ‘unproved serious attack’ however ‘a realistic prospect of rehabilitation’. Ordered to pay £250 compensation. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £154 victim surcharge.

RHYS ALDRED, 23, of Gilliflower Street, Aylesbury, convicted of harassment without violence between July 1, 2023, and September 29, 2023. Fined £346. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £138 victim surcharge.
