A BEACONSFIELD pub landlord has paid tribute to one half of the Hairy Bikers, Dave Myers who has died at the age of 66.
Mr Myers visited Buckinghamshire and was fondly remembered by those who met him and his co-star Si-King.
He found fame alongside King, his friend of 30 years, as part of the motorcycle-riding cooking duo.
Myers, born in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, first announced he was receiving treatment for cancer in May 2022, but did not specify what type he had been diagnosed with.
The pair visited one of Buckinghamshire's oldest pubs in the autumn of 1015 as part of a BBC series on the 'pubs that built Britain'.
In one of the episodes, the pair focused on pubs which were backdrops to the War of the Roses.
Si and Dave embarked on a historic pub crawl to discover how Britain's inns and taverns witnessed the beginning, end and intervening years in the Wars of the Roses.

They filmed at the Royal Standard of England in Forty Green, Buckinghamshire, where its medieval décor and hanging beams attracted the cameras for the perfect English country pub setting.
Landlord Matthew O’Keeffe said: "Dave Myers and Simon King were interested in the history of the pub and The Morris Men.
"As well as the history of the pub The Hairy Bikers were looking for places that champion good British comfort food like Grandma would make.
"They loved our pies.
"They spent the day laughing and if Simon gets distracted Mike would bring order to the job in hand.
"Though they did have a good laugh with the Morris men – a lot of beard pulling and talking b*****.
"Dave Myers was very amicable, approachable and you can feel the warmth of the man. What you see on the TV shows is what you get - a lovely man, perfect pub company.
"Cheers Mike you will be missed by all of us in The Royal Standard of England pub."
