An initiative to help individuals with complex health needs in Chesham through the medium of art has been launched.
The Friends of Birchwood, which is a dedicated volunteer group, has been helping those based at the town’s Birchwood residential home in the South Bucks town by leading weekly art workshops.
They’ve been described as a ‘beacon of creativity’ for those living in the care home.
Kerry Lettin, operations support manager at Birchwood, expressed her delight at the positive impact of the art club, saying: "The art club has become a source of inspiration and connection for everyone at Birchwood.
“It goes beyond creating beautiful artworks; it cultivates a sense of purpose and accomplishment and we’re incredibly grateful to Anita and the whole of the Friends of Birchwood group who make a huge contribution to the lives of the people we support.”
