Sutton returns to Scotland

MOTHERWELL have signed Wanderers striker John Sutton.

The 24-year-old former St Mirren forward has penned a three-year deal with the Fir Park club.

Sutton told Motherwell's official website: "I'm looking forward to getting back playing in the SPL.

"I've always enjoyed my spells in Scotland and haven't done too badly."

But Sutton struggled in England managing just six goals for Wanderers and boss Peter Taylor said he was free to leave after he dropped behind Scott McGleish and new signing Chris Zebroski in the pecking order.
